Research has indicated that Tamanu (Foraha) Oil contains Calophyllolide (a neoflavanoid known to possess anti-inflammatory properties) and Delta-Tocotrienol (a form of vitamin E), as well as a number of antioxidants. Linoleic Acid also makes up 20% of Tamanu Oil, which helps contribute to overall skin barrier function and acts as a tyrosinase inhibitor, which means it helps decrease the production of melanin that contributes to hyperpigmentation and scarring.
